Infancy Milestones

There are 4 development milestones that infants go through: social & emotional, communication, physical, and cognitive. From the moment they are born to three months old, this is when they begin to display basic emotions to their parents or caregivers. At the age of 3 years old to six months, this is when they begin to make sounds, smile, and indicate preferences. When they get to the age of six to nine months, they start to recognize people and begin to respond to their name. By the time they get to twelve months, they start to show signs of independence and begin to test your boundaries.
